Walk on the Wild Side
Come for a relaxed guided afternoon walk on the wild side right next to Peebles Town with forager and nature connection guide Ingrid Campbell.
We'll walk a circular route through woodland, a long dark tunnel, a stunning viaduct over the river, back through meadows with beautiful views along the river and under the fabulous Neidpath Castle meeting some of the local natural and social history of this beautiful place as we go.
Total distance approx. 4 miles/6.5km
Meeting at The Go Tweed Valley Visitor Centre we'll head upstream along the river.
Stopping enroute you'll hear stories from the history of Peebles and be introduced to the local plants we find on our way learning some of their properties and uses. There might be a few wild snacks too to tingle your tastebuds.
This walk is perfect for both locals who would like to see this place with fresh eyes, and visitors keen to meet this special place in the Scottish Borders.
- Warm and waterproof clothes
- Suitable shoes for walking on uneven and possibly muddy ground

- Phone/torch for the tunnel
- Walking poles if you need them for balance
